the one-concept practice

I’ve tweaked and reworked my design process more times than I can count, always chasing the approach that delivers the most powerful results. After plenty of trial and error, I finally found it! The One-Concept Practice.

But yes—of course you have questions…

You guessed it—it’s a design method where I present one brand concept to my clients rather than multiple options.

If you’ve worked with a designer before, multiple design concepts may have been presented to you. While it might seem like “the more, the merrier”—when it comes to design, this approach tends to be more effective in producing the best results for clients.

What is the One Concept Practice?

Why is it the most effective design approach?

As an intuitive designer, I usually know pretty quickly how a brand should look and feel. With the one-concept approach, I can pour all my creativity, strategy, and intuition into perfecting one strong design that really fits you and your business—instead of spreading myself thin across options that aren’t as strong.

Not at all! Behind the scenes, I’m still exploring fonts, palettes, trends, and strategy—it’s just all funneled into one cohesive concept. So the work is the same, but the focus makes the final design stronger.

Does that mean you do less work?

Don’t worry—it’s not set in stone. You’ll have a chance to give feedback and request adjustments during the refinement phase. Most packages include two rounds of refinements, so there’s space to tweak until it feels just right.

What if I don’t like the concept?

moral of the story

When the right design direction comes through, I run with it. My job isn’t to hand you a bunch of options and make you choose—it’s to use my expertise and strategy to deliver the strongest possible brand for your business.
